It is a good day. I just ordered my 64GB 3G iPad and I should be getting it in the coming days. I have to admit that after playing with the iPad a few times, I am more excited about getting it than I have been about any gadget I have purchased in the past. I am not going to go into the debate whether it is a magical and revolutionary device or just an oversized iPod Touch, but I will say that 95% of what I do on my laptop or even desktop, I can do better on the iPad. Yes, it does not have Flash or a webcam, but besides that, it covers all my computing needs.
I won’t be writing long documents on the iPad and I won’t be creating spreadsheets, but other than that, I am sure my laptop and desktop usage will decrease by tens of percents. Whatever the case may be, here is a video that has been circulating the Web for a few days, and I thought I would share it with you.
With over 2 million units sold, over 8,000 iPad apps in the App Store, and people using their iPads for magic shows, I think even Steve Jobs himself is surprised what the iPad has done in such a short time.
Well, good for you! I know some people love all these gadgets, but I really don’t understand the iPad. It’s not a PC and not a phone. Just a warning though, you might have even more difficulty leaving your work behind at the office with this nifty gadget.
I read in the Time magazine issue where Steve Jobs was the cover that being able to hold and feel and iPad for the first time will only take you minutes to feel the inseparable bond between you and the gadget because of its smooth and shiny feel, its effortless touchscreen technology. and i think it does make you want to hold it still while sleeping. that’s magical!
