Top 5 Reasons I’m Getting an iPhone in June

OK, let me start off by saying that it is now widely accepted by pretty much all mobile and iPhone experts that June will be the month in which the new iPhone will be announced. Apple’s recent release of its new firmware just emphasized that point. Deep buried in the new firmware, some developers, who clearly have too much time on their hands, discovered references to a mysterious iPhone 2.1 and 3.0, as well as iPod Touch 2.2 and 3.1.
Now that we have established that June is the month, is this myserious iPhone 3.0 worth waiting for and eventually purchasing? I believe it is, and here are 5 reasons to support my belief…

Big Week for Kevin Rose & the iPhone

Wow, there has been a lot going on over the last few days, and being overwhelmed with all the news, as well as my constant tweeting, I was the victim of very severe Blogger’s Block. So I finally just decided to get over it and write my thoughts down for you.
Let’s start with, you guessed it, Twitter. I really cannot cover everything that has transpired this week in Twittersville, the amount of interesting articles shared, videos watched, and great debates and discussions in which I participated, is pretty much endless. So, I will try to focus on one new very important development that is bound to change the way we interact with Twitter and our followers.

Tweetie & The Developing Twitter Industry

The Twitter industry has got to be one of the fastest growing industries in history. There are endless services and programs to support this very basic yet addictive concept of micro blogging in 140 characters. There are many desktop clients for Mac and PC, some of my favorites include TweetDeck, Digsby, Twhirl, and most recently DestroyTwitter. However, when it comes to iPhone Twitter apps, there are only a few choices…

Melinda Gates and Her iPhone Envy (Video)

One of the biggest pieces of news lately on Twitter and the Web in general is of course Bill Gates’s wife, Melinda, and her interview with Vogue, in which she stated that she has had at times what has become known as “iPhone Envy”. Like every other ironic and interesting piece of news, someone had to go out and create a video spoof making fun of the whole story.

Amazon Solves the Whole Kindle vs. iPhone Debate

When the Kindle was released last week, a lot of people, including Eli, our reviewer of the Kindle, made the inevitable comparison to the iPhone. I know it is not the same kind of product, but the question was asked by many; “Do I really need to spend all that money on a Kindle when I can just read on an iPhone”? Well, seems like Amazon was listening.

Motorola Following Palm and Coming Back to Life

One of the companies struggling most in this hard economy is Motorola. Now, I am sure the economy has some part in their hardships but I am pretty convinced Motorola itself is not exactly innocent. I cannot remember the last handset coming out of Motorola that even remotely excited me, since of course, the Razr (you know you loved it the first time you saw it too). So now the people over there at Motorola have to be thinking how to get back in the game. What does Motorola have to do to become relevant again?
