We just discussed the newly announced Nokia N8 flagship device, and as we said, the specs are impressive, the OS a little less. The processor is a little weak by today’s market standards, but everything else seems pretty amazing. Here are some initial videos displaying the N8’s capabilities. What do you think of the device? Does it impress you or leave you wanting more from Nokia?

Moving right along, we also recently discussed the total lack of innovation on the part of RIM, makers of the BlackBerry devices. The new Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G devices leave a lot to be improved upon, and in essence they are both pretty standard and boring devices with no new features to speak of. However, on the flip side, RIM just released their first sneak peak video of the next generation BlackBerry OS, and although it is a video produced by them, the OS is looking pretty darn impressive.

Again, we won’t know anything till we play with a device, but there is no way to make the current BlackBerry OS look as good as this video, so it has to be a step in the right direction. Please let us know what you think of this video. Does it blow you away or is it just some nice camera work and effects? Do you think BlackBerry 6.0 will help RIM maintain its market share over other industry giants like Google and Apple or are they going to have to do more to win this game?
