FlightTrack Pro – At Last A Useful App

Hi All,

We are approached all the time by people/companies to blog about their products, apps, and just about anything relating to technology. I myself do this for Payoneer, so I understand their good intentions, but I need to believe in the product in order to blog about it. This is an open invitation for anyone to pitch us something, but we need stories that are interesting and/or relevant to us and our readers. I think that makes sense, agreed?

That being said, here is a good example of a very useful app for the iPhone called FlightTrack and FlightTrack Pro. The application allows you to track your flights in real time, on the go, using your iPhone. With FlightTrack you are able to search for your flights and save them onto the main page, so it’s easy to come back to them and see the progress. You don’t need to be one of those people glued to the monitor at the airport. Just sit down, relax, and see your flight’s status on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

FlightTrack Pro has a built in TripIt, the online travel organizer. All you need to do is email your flight itinerary to TripIt, and it automatically syncs with FlightTrack Pro. For the heavy traveler the advantages are apparent, but for people like me who fly a few times a year this app is still very useful. People coming to visit all the time and airport pick up is a regular duty. Entering the airline websites are really time consuming and very hard to navigate, so for me this is a much needed product.

Other features include:

Check flight status, airport gates, and more

Enjoy clear, up-to-date, international flight status info with FlightTrack. Find out about flight delays and cancellations as they happen. View real-time gate changes, baggage claim info, and aircraft type.

With convenient, live flight tracking maps, you can check flight progress for your friends, family, and colleagues at a glance. And live weather radar overlays mean you’ll see potential flight delays and cancellations before they happen. Live flight tracking maps powered by FlightView® — the same technology used by major airports and airlines.

So check it out – I’m using it now to track my family coming in for a visit, its certainly not as useful as iFart but you know, it comes in handy 🙂

  1. This is a great app I’m uploading as I write, thank you for the post. Love this site very clean. I’m looking for travel apps for my route 66 trip I’m taking. LA to Chi-town. I found this very funny, entertaining and informative video on travel apps.
